Solo "Ronnie Hopkins acoustic"
I have always toyed around with the idea of playing acoustic, solo gigs. So I put together a repertoire of memorable classic rock, new country hits and some blues . I started rehearsing with a phrase sampler, recording short percussive and rhythmic loops to sing and play guitar over. It started coming together very nicely. I went to local open mic nights to test the waters. Didn't take me long to realize that although I had never performed solo in my 30+ year music career, I was ready for it! "Ronnie Hopkins acoustic" was born.
Duo "Ronnie Hopkins and Shane Pleasant acoustic" As the demand for a Duo act came about. I asked my long time friend and co-songwriting partner, Shane Pleasant to play bass guitar and sing lead/harmony with me. The duo "Ronnie Hopkins and Shane Pleasant acoustic" was born. We were blown away with the audiences attendance and response to our shows.
Trio "Ronnie Hopkins and Friends" A few venues started asking for a trio. We added drums and harmony vocals. I brought out my old trusty Fender Stratocaster to add some twang and grit. The Trio "Ronnie Hopkins and Friends" was born.
